Description
Hi! My name is Sabrina and I'm the current tenant of this flat. It's located in Southside Central, only a 10 minute walk to Queen's Park train station that's a quick 8 minute ride into Glasgow Central and close to Queen's Park and Victoria/ Pollokshaws Road with lots of shops and dining. We also have a bus stop right outside our building with regular buses that go into the city center too.
My flatmate is moving out at the end of December and I'm looking for someone new to move in. Full disclosure: I may not be here much longer myself as I am here on a visa. While I'm searching for a job to continue my sponsorship, if I don't find one I will be leaving mid-February (live love bureaucracy 🤪).
I am a 29 year-old woman from Buffalo, New York and have been living in Scotland for 3 years now. I keep things quite clean and would appreciate if whoever moves in lives similarly. I'd love to become friends with whoever moves in, but am also happy being respectful flatmates. I like having friends over every now and then and am also happy for whoever moves in doing the same, but I'm also a big fan of going out to meet others as I do work from home at the moment. I can also be quite introverted and keep to myself if I'm tired lol.
The flat is technically unfurnished barring a wardrobe in each room and a bookshelf and dresser that were in the large hall closet (it was unfurnished when my flatmate and I first moved in a little over a year ago) but as I'm still here the living room, bathroom and kitchen are all furnished. Happy to share all existing furnishings obvs, and assuming I do get my visa I'd love to stay in this flat (basically I don't plan to just move out and take all my things with me - if I were to move anytime soon it would be just because I didn't get a visa, in which case I'd be leaving the country and would be happy to leave whatever furnishings you'd like to keep). You're of course welcome to bring additional items if you like, but everything should be pretty covered already. :) We don't have a TV, but do have a projector and a big empty wall in the living room that's great for watching shows/ movies on. My flatmate who is leaving was also an American and is moving back to the states - she is happy to leave her room furnished if whoever is moving in would like to take her furnishings, but will also happily remove anything that's not wanted (bed, dresser, desk etc.). Mostly noting so you know if you take advantage of using anything we've already got, we will be expected to remove it whenever we move out!
The flat is quite spacious and cozy. I love decorating and am also happy for whoever moves in to make the space their own so feel welcome to add your own flare to the flat!
The rent will be £475. Council tax is £80 each, wifi is £22 each and electric/ gas has been around £65 each but can change (depending on usage like more heating in winter).
If anyone is interested, feel free to message me to see if we might be a fit! Then I can put you in contact with my letting company as you'll still need to apply through them.
