Description
Hello all!
As per the title, I have a room available to rent in a friendly li'l flat-share, available pretty much immediately, in Whiteinch, in the west end of Glasgow. The important details are as follows:
THE FLAT
The flat is a, three bedroom tenement affair, with communal living space, kitchen and bathroom areas. All areas (including the bedrooms for rent in question), are furnished, ready to use and come stocked with far, far more board games than you could realistically ever want.
LOCATION
The flat is situated in Whiteinch, on Dumbarton road. The University of Glasgow is within reasonable walking distance (approx. 30/40 minutes) though if walking isn't your bag, there are frequent and reliable public transport services to the University, the city centre (approximately 10 minutes apiece, by bus) and pretty much anywhere else, you'd realistically want to go. Even Yoker.
AMENITIES
Within a few minutes by foot, you can find three grocery stores, including a particularly well supplied Tesco Express; hardware shops; numerous take-aways of wildly varying type and quality; a community centre; cafes; bakeries and possibly even an ice-cream shop (though I'd have to check that - I think it may have shut down. I understand if that's a dealbreaker.)
RENT
Rent per month is a £550 flat fee, which will cover all household bills/utilities/electricity/Broadband/Council Tax etc.
CURRENT OCCUPANTS
Two of us currently live in the flat: Myself (Lawrence) and Simon; both male; both in our mid-thirties; both quiet, chill and respectful chaps who are very happy to keep to ourselves, though are also no strangers to the odd communal board game night; ...both professional video editors and amateur musicians, weirdly, too...
He does have a little goatee and I don't though, which means I win, I think.
Aside from that, in my spare time, I drink tea, make films, and perform some of the weirdest stand-up comedy you're likely to see. I also spend quite a lot of time away from the flat, generally, so if the above sounds absolutely dreadful, don't worry, I probably won't be around often.
PETS
The flat comes fully furnished with one (1) fairly adorable, if intolerably aloof adult cat, courtesy of Simon, She is very placid and quiet and rarely, if ever, ventures out of his room, however if the presence of a cat is an absolute dealbreaker for you, then please do be aware that technically - if perhaps not functionally - there is one in his flat.
Additionally, this unfortunately means that I can't accept any tenants who wish to bring their own pets with them. Unless you've got a massive lizard that I could feed my enemies to. Then we can talk.
CONTACT
If interested, feel free to message me on here, or by mobile/whatsapp on the details provided below (note: if you elect to use WhatsApp, *PLEASE* use it to message me, rather than call. The vibe of this flat is absolutely not one suited to anyone who can confidently telephone a stranger) to arrange a viewing or just to enjoy the giddy thrill of looking around someone else's house without consequence.
Cheers!
