Description
Hello, my name is Ashley and I'm a young professional living in Cathcart in the Southside of Glasgow. I am looking for a new flat mate to move into a two bedroom flat in a new build development. The room is available from November 1, 2025, but the move-in date can be flexible.
A bit about me
I’m a Canadian who’s been living in Glasgow since March 2024. I’m 30 years old. I enjoy spending time outdoors (hiking and camping), reading, socialising with friends, and trying new food and drink places in the city. I’m a human resources professional and work from home during the day in the living room.
A bit about who I'm looking for
I'm looking for a clean and respectful flat mate who likes to socialise but also appreciates their own space. Someone who likes a relaxed home environment. A professional is preferred but will consider a mature student who is happy to split council tax bills. It would be great to find someone who shares some of the same interests as me also. Not suitable for couples, smokers or pet owners.
A bit about the flat
The room is a double bedroom with a large window and plenty of storage (under the bed, chest of drawers, shelf and clothes rail). There is also a desk if you require to work from home and an office chair. You will have the main bathroom to yourself since I have an ensuite. The flat also has a spacious kitchen/living room with lots of plenty of kitchen storage. There is also a separate laundry room with washing machine and a hallway cupboard. The development of flats is situated on a quiet street with a lovely garden and outdoor space. There is also designated parking space with the flat and free on street parking in the area for visitors. There is an indoor bike storage area. The flat is a new build so it's nice and warm and cosy in winters!
A bit about the area
7 mins walk to Cathcart station (15 minutes on the train to central station), also next to several bus stops and next bike rental. 10 minute drive from M74.
Cute shops and cafes within 10 minutes walk. Walking distance to Battlefield and Shawlands where you'll find plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Close to Queen's Park and Linn Park which are both beautiful places for a walk or run.
The nitty gritty
Rent is £550 (deposit of £550 required)
Council tax is £115pp (band E)
WiFi is £19.71pp
Gas and electricity £70pp (Estimate it will be about this much in winter, but can vary)
Total monthly cost approx £754.71 per month
Looking forward to hearing from you!
