Description
Hiya,
I've got a room opening up in November this year suitable for a short or long term lodger. It's a lovely big flat in central Glasgow, with good access to public transport (5mins to a subway station), gym, groceries, takeaways, and the city centre night life.
The catch is that this flat is still mid-renovation, which is reflected in the price. Specifically, the following works are still underway:
+The flat hasn't got a kitchen yet - we've been using a temporary setup (December target)
+The living room and hall need plastered and their radiators connected (November target)
+All rooms need painted (Whenever I can be bothered)
+The final flooring needs to go in (November target)
While all this is looking to be done this year, preferably sooner rather than later, I'm putting the flat up from when my current flatmate moves out so that any psychos who would like to save some decent money living in an unfinished flat can have that option. Once the flat is in a more liveable state, I'm happy to discuss continuing anyone already living here on at a discounted rate.
Things you CAN expect:
+Bedroom with functional heating, with a double bed & clothes storage
+Fully kitted out, modernised bathroom (the only finished room in the flat, the shower is really good!)
+All the basic requirements - hot water, electricity, internet, washing machine, TV, air fryer & other essential kitchen things
+A chance to build some character and come to appreciate the small things in life, as my dad would say
I'm asking £300 p/m which is inclusive of bills, which you would otherwise expect to be in the range of £100-150. For stays shorter than a month, get in touch and we can work something out.
About me: I'm a young professional who works a hybrid pattern. I'm big into music, love marathoning shows (just finished sopranos), and can't wait to cook for people again once I have a kitchen. Like a drink, and would really like a new gym buddy to keep me motivated once my mate leaves (but it's not a requirement!). Totally cool with you having company over, and open to people with pets though would need to discuss the specifics. No smoking house but if you lean out of the window that's good enough for me. For smoking of the other kind, much the same.
Hit me up with any questions - I know this isn't your standard listing so I'm sure you'll have some. And PLEASE indicate to me that you've read the ad and know what you're getting into...
Kind regards,
Iain
