Description
Hello, I have a room to rent in my strathbungo garden flat, available immediately.
The flat is a cosy lower ground floor flat with direct access from the living space to a back garden. Spacious open plan kitchen/living/dining room with a dining space in the window, and big comfy sofa. There's an excellent projector in place for watching films. Hifi sound system and record player.
The kitchen is an open plan galley style kitchen, well equipped with a gas job, espresso machine, fridge, microwave. I have plans for a kitchen renovation in the next couple of months with more storage space, modern wood cabinets, a dishwasher and a new fridge/freezer.
The bathroom is very spacious with a large bath and separate shower. Gas central heating and double glazing throughout. Fibre internet.
The location of the flat is perfect - strathbungo is a small area of leafy streets in the heart of Glasgow southside with a strong community spirit. Marywood square is a gorgeous tree lined street which leads to queens park. There is access to a garden front and back, and we are in the middle of lots of amenities (5 mins to a sainsburys/m&s/good veg shop). A minutes walk to queens park and surrounded by brunch spots and cafes. West Pollockshields and Queens park train stations are about a 5 min walk away, and buses go from the end of the road. There is on street parking out the front and space in the back lanes for parking also.
The bedroom is a small double room, with shelving storage and a window on to the front garden. The aspect is part obscured by the stairs to the property so this room does not get that much natural light. I am currently furnishing it so don't have up to date pictures but these can be provided on request. It can also be left unfurnished as suited if you have furniture to move. *Please note the photos of this room are not up to date - there will be a double bed, storage, new light fitting, and fresh paint.
I am 30yo F, and work as a doctor, so I can tend to be quite busy with work but as I'm soon to be finishing my training I'll have a lot more free time. Hobbies when I can escape Glasgow include hill walking, wild swimming, camping, bothies, ski touring and general adventures. Fun in Glasgow is mostly revolved around seeing friends, cycling, and going to gigs. At home I love to cook (and eat), have people over, drink wine, knit, read, watch films and draw. I am also looking forward to learning about growing stuff in the garden come spring.
Looking for someone who is a sociable flatmate but also respectful of noise and space, ideal if we are like-minded and into the same things. Not that keen to have anyone who works a lot from home, or would be having a partner over multiple times per week, sorry. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Get in touch if interested and we can chat/arrange viewing :)
