Homey Flat in Cathcart Looking for a Flatmate Who

A large double room is available in a lovely flat located in Cathcart, Glasgow Southside!

My previous flatmate has recently moved out to live with his girlfriend as they start a new chapter together, so I’m looking for someone to take his place in our home.

The flat is bright, airy, and filled with natural light throughout the day. Shared areas — kitchen, living room, and bathroom — are spacious and comfortable, ideal for relaxing after work or study.

Location:
Just a few minutes’ walk from Cathcart train station, with trains reaching Glasgow Central in about 12 minutes. Free street parking is always available. The flat is located right behind Linn Park, one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces, perfect for morning runs or peaceful weekend walks.

🛏️ The Room:
The bedroom is very spacious and comes with a large, freestanding wardrobe stretching across most of one wall, offering more than enough room for two people’s clothes. It also includes a chest of drawers and two bedside tables, so you’ll never run out of storage.

Please note there’s no desk, but you’re welcome to get one that suits your style — and I’d be more than happy to go with you to pick it out and help set it up (though fair warning, I don’t have a car… so carrying it home might be a little adventure, whoops 😅).

💰 Rent & Bills:

Rent: £650 pcm

Council Tax (Band C): around £90 each

Gas & Electricity: around £50 each

Wifi: £15 each
→ Total monthly bills approx. £155

Students are welcome, but please note you’ll need to contribute to council tax at a reduced rate.

👋 About Me:
My name is Wuyi, and I recently graduated from the University of Glasgow. I’m now working in the city and applying for my Graduate Route visa, so I’ll be staying in Glasgow for the at least next 2 years.

I’m tidy, easy-going, and respectful of personal space, but I also value warmth and connection. I’d love to live with someone who’s considerate, kind, and open to friendship — someone who enjoys sharing a meal or a chat now and then, not just bills and chores.

I take pride in keeping the flat clean and cosy, especially the kitchen. I don’t smoke and have no pets.
Occasionally, I work late-night shifts (until around 1 a. m.), so if that’s something you’re very sensitive to, we might not be the best match. Otherwise, I promise you’ll find me a thoughtful and reliable flatmate who genuinely wants to make this place feel like home.
