Room in Mount Florida Southside

Hi there :)

I am looking for a flatmate to take on one room in a two bedroom flat in Mount Florida as my current flatmate is moving out, with a move in date around the first week of January.
The bathroom is shared.

It is a very quiet and residential area and the flat is generally calm and peaceful. Mount Florida station is a 5 to 6 minute walk away with trains to Glasgow Central every 15 minutes or so. There is also a bus stop about 3 minutes away with the 4 and 4A going into the city centre. Queen’s Park is roughly a 15 minute walk which is great when the weather allows it lol. There is a Sainsbury’s about 8 minutes away and a Tesco around 12 minutes away.

I recently moved in, so the living room is mostly unfurnished apart from a table with my DJ decks. You’re welcome to bring any furniture, or if you’d like, we could get some together and split the cost, I’d love to at least have a couch or sofa for when we have people over.

The flat is well insulated, so it doesn’t get too cold, and there’s heating throughout.

Rent is £550.
Council Tax is £90 per person.
Bills are around £40-50 per person, though I don’t use much heating as I’m weirdly quite tolerable to the cold haha, but you’re free to use it as you need since my flatmate does.
Wifi will be transferred from my flatmate as he owns it, but I work at EE so I get employee broadband for cheap, so it’ll only be about £5-10 per person.

Now about me:

I graduated from Strathclyde in March and I work at EE in the city centre five days a week. Outside of work I am really into music which probably shows from the decks haha. I go to a lot of gigs and do a bit of mixing myself. I also go to the cinemas fairly often.

I am initially a bit shy but once I am comfy I am a proper yapper lol to the point you’ll most prolly ask me to shut up. I like to think I am a considerate flatmate and I make sure I clean up after myself. I have a mix of quiet chill nights and going out with pals. I usually do not have people over apart from maybe once a month or so but I am genuinely very flexible and do not mind you having people over or hosting dinners or even parties if that is your thing as it is your home too.

It would be nice to get along and maybe hang out occasionally but I am also totally fine living our own lives as respectful flatmates as I have lived in both kinds of arrangements 😬

For what it’s worth I know finding a place right now is rough and stressful and I’ve been there so feel free to drop me a text if you are interested or want more info.
