I am renting out the second bedroom in this nice and bright flat in the G40 (Bridgeton) area.
I recently completed my PhD in History at UofG and have just started working part-time as a Learning Assistant at a local school. Apart from all things history, I enjoy sports (indoor/outdoor), culture, cooking, reading or just watching a movie. I am always happy to share a cuppa or dinner, but I am fine with keeping to myself, too. A clean and tidy flat is particularly important to me, so it would be great if you felt and cared the same way about the shared spaces.
The flat comes fully furnished with kitchen appliances, bathroom/shower and washing machine in fine working condition. The bedroom is furnished with a platform bed (IKEA SMÅSTAD) which includes shelving and an underbed cupboard. There is a built-in wardrobe and an additional futon which is set up as a sofa but can be extended to serve as a guest bed. I can provide bedding if required.
The flat is located right next to Glasgow Green, close to People’s Palace. You can walk into the city, but Bridgeton train station is also just a 5 minute walk away, and there are several busses serving the city right outside the flat. Morrisons and several smaller shops are reachable on foot. The various unis and schools in Glasgow are accessible bus, on foot or by bike.
The rent includes utilities, broadband and a cleaning fee because I prefer to do the cleaning of shared spaces on a weekly basis. Rent does not include council tax (Band C) to which I would expect you to contribute.
The earliest possible move-in date would be 1 February 2026. Please let me know about your wishes regarding the move-in date and length of stay when you reach out. I would be happy to arrange in-person viewings as well as online viewings via Skype/Zoom on a fairly flexible basis. Any questions, feel free to ask.
