Description
The flat is a bright and spacious third-floor 2-bed in Govanhill, full of cosy, crafty vibes, so perfect if you love a relaxed, creative and homey atmosphere.
There’s a large kitchen with a dining table and plenty of room, plus a very spacious living room with another big table that we often use for crafts. It’s a really nice space that I’m still chipping away at in terms of aesthetics and some furnishings but also means you can contribute and make the space yours aswell. I’m a big fan of candles and some soft, moody low lighting in the evenings aswell so it’s always nice and cozy to come home to.
About the bedroom:
It is partially furnished with a double bed and side table , There is also a window desk (that I made from plywood) set up, but it can be removed easily. The chair for the desk belongs to the flat. My previous flatmate had a big PAX wardrobe so there’s enough space if you have lots of clothing and bits.
I’m a very easygoing gal. Very much want this place to feel like home for you so having pals over for dinners and board games nights are 0 problem, the shared spaces are huge so hosting never feels tight. My past flatmate and I became great pals and looked after each other while also respecting each others downtime and personal space so something similar would be ideal. I work in film and Tv doing props work, I love crafting and an abstract strange project, I‘m up for a hangout and chats but also do work some very long days so will crawl myself to my bed on the more hectic work days.
Our landlord is very accommodating and a lovely, reasonable guy. He has always given us the freedom to decorate and make the place feel like our own. So painting rooms, hanging shelves etc are all on the table.
Rent: £610 per month (excluding bills), council tax is band C, bills are usually £113 each but looking at changing our energy tariff in June so should drop a fair bit with that.
