Unfurnished Double Room in Glasgow Townhead!

hey :) my flatmate is looking to move out mid april so i’m looking for someone to replace them. i will be organising viewings after the 26th of march!

about me/who i’m looking for:

i’m a 28 year old female student who’s currently in my 2nd year at GSA. i’m quite a sociable person and would appreciate someone that i can have a wee chat with every so often, but for the most part i’m very focused on my studies so i’d like someone who is respectful of alone time and is willing to create a calm and peaceful environment for the both of us to live in. open communication is very important to me so regardless of what the issue is, no matter how big or small, i’d appreciate someone who is able to be transparent about their needs and likewise accept that i will do the same. i’m also a very tidy person so a cleaning rota is a must! i don’t go out very often, but if i do then i’ll be visiting family, or me and my friends will usually just go to the pub for a few :) i’ll occasionally have the odd pal over for a movie night and face masks but nothing mental. i’d like to stress that this is not a party flat so i’d appreciate if my new flatmate has the same stance. i’m looking for someone who is female or queer only please!

about the rent/bills:

the property is managed through a letting agency and the rent comes out on the 1st of every month, which is £497.50 and then a deposit of £575. the wifi is £6 each and the whole property is electric, which is normally £30-£40 each. since i’m a student, i don’t pay the council tax so ideally would be looking for another student, or a non student who is willing to pay the council tax themselves. the council tax band for the property is band A so if you applied for a single persons discount it would come to £68.48 over 10 monthly instalments.

about the flat/room:

the flat is located in a high rise building in the glasgow townhead area. the view from the living room/bedrooms is lovely and the flat stays very warm all throughout the year! there are 3 cupboards for storage space and the bathroom comes with an overhead shower. my flatmate has furnished the majority of the kitchen, living room and bathroom so will be taking most of the furniture with them when they leave apart from the fridge/freezer, washing machine and brown couch which is mine, so ideally would be looking for someone that wouldn’t mind chipping in for some furniture. i wouldn’t expect you to go halves on absolutely everything as i’m planning on refurnishing the majority myself, but it would be a big help if we chipped in for a wee decent second hand couch or something! or if you have any furniture to bring in then even better :) the room is a double and comes unfurnished - identical in size/layout to mine.
