🌟 Looking for a New Flatmate - Modern 2B2B Flat in Glasgow city centre 🌟
My beloved current flatmate has recently found an amazing new job in Edinburgh 🎉🏴 and will likely be moving there in June or July. I’m genuinely so happy and proud of him 🥹✨ although I’ll absolutely miss living with him 😭 so now I’m looking for a new flatmate to join this lovely home 💫
🏡 About the Flat
The flat is a modern furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment located on Dunblane Street (G4) 📍
The location is fantastic 🚶♂️✨ with easy access to:
🌆 City Centre
🎭 Merchant City
🎬 Charing Cross
🚆 major transport links
We’re also very near to the Glasgow School of Art and several theatres 🎨🎼 and somehow the area becomes surprisingly peaceful and quiet at night 🌙✨ which honestly feels rare for somewhere this close to the city centre.
The flat includes:
🛏️ A lovely single bedroom with:
✨ standing wardrobe
✨ chest of drawers
✨ plenty of storage space
✨ a brand new mattress replaced this January (thanks to our very kind landlord 😭🙏)
🚿 Your own private bathroom
(My room is en-suite, so you’ll have the second bathroom entirely to yourself ✨)
☀️ Bright living room with a charming Parisian-style balcony
🍳 Fully equipped kitchen including:
🧺 washer-dryer
🧊 fridge freezer
🔥 oven & hob
🔐 Secure entry system
🔥 Gas central heating
🌿 Communal terrace
💷 Rent is £547.50 per person pcm , excluding bills.
Usually utility bills come to around £75 per person per month ⚡💧🔥
🏛️ Council Tax: Band D
🌱 EPC: Band C
📶 I’m currently using my current flatmate’s broadband, so once you move in, we’ll need to set up our own internet together ✨ Usually it works out at around £12–15 per person each month 💻🌐
Honestly, for the location and quality of the flat, it’s extremely good value and very competitive pricing in Glasgow right now 💫
🌸 About Me
I graduated from the University of Glasgow last year 🎓 and currently work in hospitality in Glasgow 🍽️☕🍸
I’m on a Graduate Visa, so I’ll be staying in Glasgow for the foreseeable future ✨
I’m hoping to live with someone who is:
🌿 tidy
🌿 considerate
🌿 respectful
🌿 emotionally mature
🌿 a working professional
And sorry if I sound a little picky about flatmates 😭 my current flatmate has genuinely been wonderful, so I think I’m hoping to find someone just as lovely ✨
I value open, friendly communication 💬 and appreciate people who genuinely care about keeping shared spaces clean, calm and comfortable 🕯️✨
More than just splitting bills and chores, I’d really love to find a flatmate who’s open to building a friendly connection too, just like my current flatmate and I did (yes I’m going to miss him again 😭)
I enjoy a home where people can naturally share parts of daily life together ☕🍜🎶 while still fully respecting each other’s personal space and boundaries 🌙
✨ What you can expect from me:
🧼 I keep shared spaces clean (especially the kitchen 😌)
💷 I always pay bills and rent on time
🤍 I respect privacy and personal space
🍲 I’m happy to chat or occasionally share meals
🚭 I don’t smoke
🐈 I don’t have pets
This is definitely NOT a loud party flat 🚫🎉
The atmosphere here is relaxed, peaceful and friendly 🕯️🌿🙂
Usually I don’t have many visitors, though occasionally one or two friends may stop by ☕ If you’d ever like to invite friends over too, that’s completely fine as long as we communicate beforehand and respect each other’s rest and schedules ✨ honestly I’d even be happy to meet your friends too 😄
⚠️ One important thing to mention:
My current work schedule involves quite a lot of late shifts 🌙 Sometimes I may not get home until around 2am.
I’m always quiet and considerate when I return home 🤫 but I do want to mention this in advance so nobody is caught off guard. If you’re an extremely light sleeper or very sensitive to any late-night noise, it’s probably something worth carefully considering 💭
📝 Also, as required by the landlord, you’ll need to pass the agency reference checks — but for anyone with full-time employment this should be very straightforward ✨
If you’re interested, feel free to send me a message and tell me a little about yourself 💌😊
(Also, huge thanks to ChatGPT for aggressively decorating this post with cute emojis 😭✨)
