I have a room available to rent from July in Hyndland, in the west end of Glasgow. The important details are as follows:
The Flat:
The flat is a 2 bedroom second floor property, with communal living space, kitchen and bathroom. Your room will be furnished with a bed, mattress, bedside cabinet and chest of drawers. There is ample storage space in the hallway directly opposite what will be your room, with large sliding wardrobes and a utility cupboard. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and all other areas are fully furnished. If you have a car, the property benefits from a large car park at the front, which in the west end is like finding gold dust. There is also a lovely shared garden to the rear with resident foxes and squirrels.
Location and Amenities:
The flat is ideally located just around the corner from Hyndland train station. There are tons of great bars, cafes, restaurants and takeaways nearby, and Crow Road Retail Park is just a ten minute walk away. There you will find a Sainsburys, a Marks and Spencers, and Partick Morrisons and Lidl is only five extra minutes away if you want something less bougy. There are plenty of bus and train links nearby to pretty much anywhere you would want to go in the Glasgow area. Even Yoker.
Rent and Bills:
Rent per month is £333 and bills (including utilities/electricity/broadband/council tax etc.) typically come in at between £130 and £140 a month in total.
Current Occupants:
You will be sharing the flat with myself, an English Teacher who is still enthusiastic and not too jaded yet. I'm clean and quiet, and would like to think that I'm fairly easy to live with. I'm happy to socialise and chat in front of the tv with a takeaway, or go out for drinks. I'm also happy to chill on my own depending on where the mood takes me. I do have a pet gecko who lives in my room, but you have my word that he will be totally indifferent to your presence, except when I'm away and may ask you to help with his feeding routine. I love animals, but if you have your own pet, be aware that my landlord currently has a policy where the owner of any cat / dog / other misc. furry creature will be charged extra in rent each month.
