West End room available to rent, £380/m + bills

Hello!

We are two girls in our late twenties, looking for someone to take the third bedroom in our flat! We live in the West End of Glasgow, about 20 seconds from a bus stop and 30 seconds from St George's Cross subway station, and very close to a few different supermarkets. including Lidl, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Coop. It’s a really nice area with pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes, and it’s close to Kelvingrove park and the University of Glasgow as well.

Rent is £380 per month, not including bills. Council tax is approx. £47, gas/electricity is £30 (gone up recently :/ but will most likely go down again in summer!), and internet is approx £9 each. So altogether somewhere in the region of £460/£470 for everything.

The building has a very large, shared patio area that's really lovely to hang out on, especially in the summer. We try to grow/take care of various plants and vegetables on it!

In terms of the flat, it’s furnished, we have a washing machine, there's a big hallway, the bedrooms and bathroom are medium sized, the kitchen is small but the living room/dining area is really big and bright!

We are looking for someone to move in from the end of February (current flatmate will be moving out on 24th Feb).

Our current flatmate mainly worked from home which made life a lot nicer for Jess to have some company during her work day - so if you work from home at least some of the time that's a big plus :)

The flat is no pets allowed unfortunately, but the landlord makes an exception for Jess' 2 Giant African Land snails. Don't worry if you're squeamish, they live in her room so you won't need to see them if you don't want to! We also own many, many plants.

We're not mega cleanfreaks but we do like to keep the flat relatively clean and tidy.

Just to say a little bit about us, the current tenants - we're called Jess and Kathrin; Jess is English and Kathrin is German, we've both lived abroad at various times, but have been living in Glasgow for a while now! We are both language nerds - Jess speaks French and Kathrin speaks Spanish (as well as German of course!) and we both love taking a dive into other languages. Both enjoy travelling (though of course, less so right now!), watching films, playing board/tabletop games and cooking. Kathrin enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, and watching comedy series, and Jess enjoys films, art and live music/comedy. We're both more or less vegan/vegetarian most of the time; that being said, it's not a big deal if you're neither! LGBTQ+ friendly flat :)
