** I’VE HAD OVER 70 ENQUIRIES IN 12 HOURS SO IT WILL TAKE ME SOME TIME TO GO THROUGH THEM ALL. SORRY IF THERES A SLIGHT DELAY IN MY REPLY. THANKS! **

Hi, I’m a live-in landlord, looking to rent out my spare en-suite bedroom in a bright and modern, West End top floor flat (no lift but amazing views - and saves on a gym membership!). Please note, I have a very fluffy cat so don’t apply if you have allergies or don’t like pets. All bills are included in the monthly rent (including council tax). Rent to be paid on 1st of month.

I am local, 34, single and work full time as a teacher. I am also about to start a part-time MSc Psychology in the evenings so I’ll probably be spending most of my time at home working and studying. If you’re after a party flat and/or frequent “out-out” buddy then look elsewhere, sorry! I’ve a range of interests including music, theatre, yoga, photography, reading, interiors, travelling, watching sport, cooking/baking and eating out. I’m very happy to socialise with a flat-mate when we both have free-time, but also very content in my own company. Since moving in to my home 9 years ago, I’ve had 3 long-term flat-mates and remain good friends with them all. They are very happy to provide references if required.

The en-suite room on offer has a double bed, large built-in wardrobe, bedside tables, chest of drawers, bookcase, drying racks and console table. The en-suite has a toilet, basin and shower. Bedding and towels are available, but no worries if you’d prefer to bring your own.

The flat has another 2 bedrooms - my own and a study/guest room that has a desk, printer/scanner, TV and bunk beds (my wee niece and nephew sometimes stay over). You’re more than welcome to use it and have guests stay over too. There’s also a main bathroom and hall cupboard with fridge/freezer. The living room is large and open plan with floor to ceiling windows/doors overlooking a park, Glasgow Harbour and beyond. There is a large Smart TV with a few Sky packages and various streaming channels.

The kitchen has recently been installed, decorated and tiled. It has a breakfast bar, lots of cupboard space, an integrated washing machine, dishwasher and another fridge. There’s an oven/grill, gas hob, kettle, toaster, Nutribullet, Nespresso machine, SodaStream and loads of utensils and dishes, pots, pans, etc too. There’s plenty space for your own things too.

Rosie the cat is no bother at all. She’s 9 years old, rather large and very fluffy. There is a covered litter box tucked away in the hall and she is completely house-trained. Rosie is practically silent (no meows, just purrs!) and never jumps up on the kitchen worktops/breakfast bar which is great; but she will probably stare at you while you eat, steal your pen lids and occasionally try to sneak into your room.

It is a never-ending battle trying to keep on top of Rosie’s fluff around the flat (despite regular grooming!), so I will provide you with a free supply of lint-rollers for your black clothes and take full responsibility for all of the hoovering! I’m also happy to continue doing most of the general housework but obviously your bedroom and en-suite are your responsibility, as are your own dishes (there is a dishwasher) and belongings.

The flat is in a brilliant location for various commutes. Partick bus, train and subway station is less than a 15 min walk straight along the road and takes you directly into the city centre in 10 mins. You can walk to Byres Road and Glasgow Uni in about 25 mins, or just 2 stops on the subway. There are numerous buses from Dumbarton Road (2 mins walk) and Crow Road (10 mins walk). By car, the Clydeside Expressway (which takes you to the city centre, M8, M74 and M77) and the Clyde Tunnel are both just 2 mins away. Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is less than a 10 min drive and Glasgow Airport around 20 mins. The flat has a resident’s car park with unallocated spaces and also free on-street parking.

The local area has loads of brilliant independent cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Takeaway/delivery options are also great. There’s a small retail park 10 mins walk away with a Sainsbury’s, M&S and Home Bargains for groceries and McDonalds and Costa. I have a car and I’m very happy to co-ordinate shopping trips (general groceries or bigger shops further afield).

Hope I’ve not overwhelmed with too much info. I understand that choosing a place to call home, albeit temporary, is a big decision so hopefully this gives you some insight into mine!
