Room to let for a maximum of 6 months in West End

Hi! I’m looking for someone to sublet my room (the landlady is aware of this, of course) from mid June to mid December, since I will be completing an on-site placement abroad during that time.

The flat is located in the West End, just in front of the botanic gardens. It’s a beautiful area, close to all the buzz and life from the main streets yet very quiet at night. It’s close to several supermarkets, and the Hillhead subway station is about 15 mins away walking. The room itself is quite cozy, it has a double bed and a wardrobe and a chest of drawers for storage. Kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared between the three flatmates, and overall we are a friendly bunch, welcoming and always up for a good chat while remaining respectful of other’s time.

Rent is £450, and bills per month come up to about an extra £150 (£86 council tax, £9 internet, and the remaining comes from utilities). Students are of course welcome (I’m a student myself), but they would have to pay their share of the council tax.

It’s important for me that the person that rents the room stays for a minimum of 4 months, since I won’t be around to manage someone moving out and someone else moving in. At the same time, I’ll only be away for 6 months, which is the maximum period of stay.
