Room in 2-bed top floor flat

Hello! I’m looking for a new flatmate to take over a room in a 2-bed flat in the west end. My current flatmate is moving out after 3.5 years to live with her family. Check out full details below 🙂.

Rent - £612.5 p/m
Council tax - £98.5 p/m (Band D)
Bills - £80 p/m roughly (includes gas, electricity, internet and toilet paper subscription)
Cost of buying basics like olive oil, salt, washing-up liquid is also split

Move in date is Thurs 09/04 when next rent is due, but flat will be available from roughly Mon 30/03 (part-rent would need to be negotiated with current flatmate). You’ll be formally on the tenancy agreement, so the letting agent will need to do basic background checks. There is no formal minimum term but it would be beneficial if you can stay 6 months+

Cool things about this flat:
- Open plan kitchen/living room with big couch, dining table x2, 6-hob gas stove, dishwasher, double sink.. dream situation for cooking and hosting
- Great location, 1 min walk to Hillhead subway and loads of shops within 10-15 mins walk (waitrose, tesco, lidl, big morrisons). The street is fairly quiet and it’s mainly families in our building
- Lots of storage, especially in your room
- Small garden that barely anyone uses but nice to have in summer
- Letting agency are really great, urgent issues are always fixed quickly

Looking for:
Another female, late 20s/ early 30s. Ideally professional but students who will split council tax could work. If you can clean as you go and will take initiative with doing chores then you’ll fit in. Happy to have our own lives when it comes to cooking and socialising, but it would be nice if you’re also up for chatting after work and sharing a coffee/ beer/ the odd dinner ! Having friends over is totally fine, although it’s very much a cosy dinners in/ watching a film vibe over a party flat so please take that into account.

About me:
I’m 27 and have lived in this flat for almost 3 years, before that I shared various flats in Glasgow and elsewhere with people who became really close friends. I work Monday-Friday 9-5 for an international education programme (usually doing 4 days in and 1 from home). Most evenings/weekends I’m out and about at the gym, cinema, with friends, etc. but I also love cooking, and enjoying hosting at home every now and again. I studied french at uni so bonus points if you can help me to keep practicing!
