Description
I'm looking for someone to share my new flat with in Glasgow. The room is very spacious – 4.8 × 4.38 m (approx. 21 m²) – and comes unfurnished, so there's plenty of room to make it your own, including space for a desk/work area or a little seating area.
The flat also has a large shared living room, a kitchen with space for a dining table, and a shared bathroom with both a shower and bathtub.
I'm 31, from Copenhagen, and moving to Glasgow to start my MFA in Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art. I'm completely new to the city myself, so I'd love to live with someone where there's the possibility of creating a genuinely nice home together rather than just sharing a kitchen.
I love cooking and good food, films, going out, art and culture, and I'd love to occasionally have dinner together, watch a film, go for a drink or explore Glasgow together. At the same time, I'm very independent and really value home as somewhere you can close the door, recharge and just do your own thing without any social expectations.
I'm very relaxed about friends, partners or family visiting and staying over – I want both of us to feel that this is actually our home. That said, I'm looking for someone who has a similar relationship to home as I do: I'm very happy to go out and be social, but I don't really see the flat as a party flat or somewhere for large gatherings.
I've only just taken over the flat, so I'll be furnishing and doing bits and pieces to it over the first couple of months. The bedroom itself is completely unfurnished, and the shared spaces will gradually come together as well – so there's also room for us to make the place feel like ours rather than moving into an already established home.
If this sounds like the kind of home you're looking for, send me a little bit about yourself, what you're doing in Glasgow and what you like in a living situation :)
