Kirkintilloch lies at the foot of the Campsie fells. There are lovely country walks on my door step and a pub/diner 10 minutes walk from the house.
Kirkintilloch has great access routes in all directions of travel; 5 minute drive will take you to the main motorway routes. Glasgow City Centre, where I drive to work, is 11 miles away, a 20 minute car journey or 12 minutes by train if you prefer.
