About me

Hello, I'm Heather (they/them) I'm 29 queer & trans genderfluid/nonbinary and looking for a lovely human to share my living space with.

I'm only happy to share with other queers or you'd have to be a radical ally ;)

I'm looking to build a communal living space, and to live with someone as friends and hang out socially and not just co-exist in the same building. I do work full time and have lots of hobbies, but around about that I'd love to have shared meals, invite pals round for dinner / games and be sociable outside of the flat in evenings or weekends.

It's important for me to keep the shared spaces clean and tidy and appreciate all dishes done before the end of the day (most days! we all have bad mental health days sometimes). There is a cleaning rota!

I work for a charity Mon-Fri and work out the house most days, although I sometimes work from home Mondays / Fridays.

I'm involved in circus and partner acrobatics, and also weightlifting and handstands. I also love to get outdoors and explore, go on bike trips, kayaking, wild swimming, hiking etc. I also play guitar (folk and blues music) and sing and nerd out on harmonies

I'm not a party person (never was really, and even less the older I get..) and this is not the flat to be hosting with alcohol. Think dinner parties, games nights, jam sessions!

No students please (unless you're happy to pay your half the council tax)

About the flat

- Double bedroom in a 2 bed flat, with spacious kitchen, living room and bathroom.
- Shawlands in Southside Glasgow. Very well connected and close to lots of shops, cafes, bars etc.
- The flat comes UNFURNISHED so you'd need to bring or buy your own bed & furniture for the bedroom. Ideally you'd bring a few bits for the rest of the flat or be keen to look together for some things to make the space homey (I've already spent quite a bit on communal furniture e. g. kitchen table / sofa etc.)
- I'm veggie (altho a bit flexi...) and only very very occasionally have meat in the flat and would prefer similar in a new flatmate.
- The flat is on the top (3rd) floor and there is no lift, just stairs.
- There is a shared garden

My current flatmate is moving to London, most of the furniture in the pics is hers and she's taking with her so the flat will look quite different than in the pics, but I have some things and hoping to make it nice and cosy and would be keen to explore charity shops or the Barras to add bits to make it feel more homey.

If you bring any plants that's even better!

The room is available from weekend of Sat 19th July, this can be flexible but I am looking for someone to move in latest end of August.
