Description
Hello there!
My lovely flatmate is moving in with her bestie! So am in need of someone to take her bright and spacious bedroom.
Looking for someone kind, friendly, chill, who's down for hanging out some evenings/grabbing a coffee and a walk, meals and movie nights etc, and also appreciates alone time.
Queer and neurodivergent friendly space. Two beds, one bathroom. The bedroom has an ensuite shower, lets in lots of light and overlooks the shared garden. The flat has a teeny tiny kitchen and a shared living room.
Highlights include:
- Heart of the Southside
- located near five MILLION coffee shops and bakeries
- ten minutes walk from the nearest supermarket
- ten minutes walk from two train stations (Crossmyloof and Pollokshaws East)
- situated right next to Queen's Park so ideal if you are partial to a silly little mental health walk.
- Quiet residential street, with your room overlooking the shared garden
- Ground floor, perfect if you find stairs a challenge.
Boring important stuff:
Council tax £82 (Band C)
Gas £50
Electric around £25 (paid by meter)
Broadband £15
About me:
- Queer ND female, 25 years old, a fabulous virgo sun taurus moon combo. I'm a bit witchy >:)
- I am a chatty person with a creative streak and a good sense of humour. Blessed to have a fab therapist and a good support network of friends and family.
- Housework wise I'm pretty chill. A happy amount of clutter works for me. I like the idea that we all chip in with hoovering and cleaning and do what we can when we can. I don't like lots of dirt but ain't super clean either. Sometimes leave the dishes out in a neat pile overnight.
- I drink rarely and not very much. I like a wee party though. Am partial to the odd smoke and mushies on occasion.
- Creative. Love to read, write and perform poetry, paint on occasion, play guitar.
- I take LOTS of afternoon naps.
- I sing all the time around the flat, and mostly it's Mitski lmao.
- Am also partial to a solo dance party when the mood strikes me.
- I would like to get a cat in the future, so preferably you will be someone who is comfortable with pets.
- Currently job hunting, previously worked in hospitality and am looking for a career change. Undertaking a course in counselling skills.
Flat rules:
- Be respectful of communal spaces. happy for people to leave their stuff about as long as it's not so cluttered you can't find anything.
- Be respectful of noise levels in the late hours. Sleep's supah important!
- Direct communication, being open about emotions, all that good stuff. I'm here for it. Had a bad day? Want to discuss a new boundary? Feeling a conflict? I wanna know :) Living in a peaceful home is important to me, and I'm happy to put in the work to build that together.
- Pay bills in full and on time (obvs).
AI booooo. Systems of oppression boooooo. Any kind of -ism boooooo. Equality and a love ethic yayyyyy.
Flatmate is taking her microwave, air fryer and table and chairs. The room will be unfurnished, but she is happy to sell you her bedframe if you are in need.
Drop me a message if interested, or if you have any questions, and we can arrange a viewing/meetup :))
