I’m looking for someone to take over my tenancy for a furnished double room in a four-person house, starting Monday 25th August 2025 (flexible – later August/September start possible) through to Sunday 16th August 2026. I’m moving out due to finding a more affordable option.
The house is located in the Bowerham area, very close (less than a minutes’ walk) to the local Spar, chippy, post office and Bowerham Hotel. The local bus stop is ~20 seconds away and is serviced by the 100 and 4 bus routes – which will get you to Lancaster Uni in 15mins. It’s a 20 min walk/8min bus to the city centre, 15min walk to Williamson Park.
The room is on the first floor and is furnished with:
• Double bed
• Wardrobe
• Chest of drawers
• Bedside table
• Standing and wall-mounted shelves
• Desk with chair
Some house amenities:
• Spacious kitchen with large fridge freezer and additional under-counter fridge
• Washer, dryer, internal and external clotheslines
• Living room with TV & Roku stick
• Three-piece bathroom and downstairs toilet
• WiFi extenders for full coverage
• Bike locker in backyard
Currently one room is taken by a male 2nd year PhD student who is friendly, clean, and respectful. There will be two other incoming students for the year. Landlord is responsive and accommodating.
Rent includes allowance for gas/electricity, water, broadband, TV License.
