Studio (kitchen, ensuite bathroom) Lancasrer

I'd like you to note that I am not selling this studio because I am unhappy with it but rather that my course at Lancaster Uni predominantly takes place outside of the Uni, which would be more convenient for me if I just lived at home instead. facilities such as internet information are provided on the photos section. The studio includes its own bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and I can vacate it as soon as you'd like. The room is not shared with anyone.

The contract for the studio is active until July 2026. The studio and the building is very close to many facilities around Lancaster, with Sainsbury's being about 5 minutes away (including waiting at stop lights for oncoming traffic) and the bus station is even closer, granting easy access to all buses that travel all over Lancashire with many going through Lancaster University alleviating the stress of missing a bus and granting more freedom of choice of when you want to set off and which bus you want to catch. The train station is also about 10 minutes away from the accommodation building by walk, with the trains arriving and travelling all over England regularly throughout the day. There are also multiple car parking areas around the building.

The studio itself is rather spacious having a very neat and extremely comfortable bed. It holds lots of storage room not including the storage space available under the bed by slightly lifting the mattress and lifting the platform holding the mattress. There is loads of room elsewhere, with the drawers on the side table being huge and the cupboards being deep. The wardrobe is split in halves, on being layered and the other being for hanging clothing and other cloth materials, while the top holds one layer spanning the whole length of the cupboard. Near the entrance there is a huge bookshelf that, for me, holds a lot of items including deodorants, perfumes, books, notes, and even my bag. All that to say, if I were more efficient and had a lot more stuff to keep and use at the studio I could probably store double or even triple the amount of things I currently have.

The ventilation and heating system are both phenomenal, never have I felt any lack of oxygen or smelled bad odours and I have not once felt too warm or too cold while staying in my studio. The system is also very quiet, hardly audible even if I were to concentrate fully on it. A smoke alarm is also fitted near the middle of the studio, granting extra peace of mind in case you are paranoid you messed something up while cooking something.

All the chairs available at the studio are deceivingly comfortable with each being adjustable in height besides one (see photos). The dinner table/counter faces the window giving a nice sight of the city of Lancaster with River Lune being just in sight from the vantage point of the studio. The kitchen counter top is not so spacious, however, especially if you plan on hoarding loads of items on top of it, but this is made up for by the dinner table being so large, and with me being the only person using the studio.
The kitchen counter also has two electric hobs with very easy to use adjustable heat. The hobs also have a button to lock them both in place in case you do not want to accidentally meddle with any heat change or accidentally turn one of the hobs on.
The room also has 4 bins provided, in case you would want to use them for different purposes such as plastic or paper. Three of them are rather small so they are particularly easy to stash away in case you would want to do that for extra room.

The bathroom is better than other places I have been to, having enough room for me to move freely and without having to worry about hitting a wall or something while cleaning the bathroom. The shower cubicle feels a bit cramped at first but it gets the job done and is very easy to get used to and familiar with.

The building has free access to a gym and a games room for friends to gather, with a very large kitchen in the games room in case you would like to cook and/or eat there with some of your friends. There are multiple elevators throughout the building making it easy to traverse the building vertically from a lot of places. The staff have been nice and helpful whenever I approached them and are very often available at the reception area for any queries or help. The building is well maintained with, having only one water problem for since when I've had this studio, which was fixed within a day or two. The building feels secure having lots of scanners for the key ensuring a one person cannot simply walk into the building and if they do they can't expect to be able to freely break through the other security key scanners.

The price for the studio is £175 per week, which is cheaper than the residence halls at Lancaster University for a studio or a shared flat. The city centre is also cheaper than the markets on Lancaster Uni campus.
