Unique accommodation offer. Ideal for an established professional, lecturer, academic or mature post-grad looking for a quiet home rather than a conventional house share.

Who: We are looking for a female single professional lecturer/researcher, PhD post-grad, visiting academic or similar mature person to share our home. We are only in Lancaster for two to three months of the year so for most of the year you get the shared areas of the house and garden to yourself.
You will be someone we trust when we are away to enjoy the space and be a great neighbour. You will be warm, neighbourly, clean and tidy, respectful, LGBTQ+ -friendly and 100% trustworthy.

Our neighbours are a mix of locals and incomers and we're all a bit arty and/or academics and teachers. We're also in a small WhatsApp group for support and help.

What: A first-floor large furnished double bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and chair, plus an armchair in a terraced house. A shared bathroom, sitting room with wood burner, small fully equipped kitchen, fridge, freezer, gas hob and oven, washing machine, and a garden with a shed for bike storage, logs, etc. These are shared with us. It's gas centrally heated so warm and cosy and fully furnished. You're welcome to bring some of your own furniture for your room and kitchenware, etc., to help you feel at home. You will need your own bedding and towels.

Where: Excellent location situated in the very safe, friendly and quiet end of the Primrose area of Lancaster:
- 5 minutes from the nearest bus stop for buses to the university
- A short 5 to 10 minute walk into the centre of town
- 15 to 20 minute walk to the train station
- 4-minute walk to corner shops and takeaways

When: From September.
How long for: the academic year, or possibly shorter.
The deal: £600 per calendar month plus your share of the household bills. Council Tax and Wi-Fi included. Deposit: one month's rent.
