Small, sunny double room available in Preston

Hello!

I have a room available in my house from the end of August. Start and end dates are flexible and short term lets will be considered. Small double room, furnished with bed, chest of drawers and mirror. The wardrobe in the picture has unfortunately broken! Shared bathroom with bath and shower, shared living room and kitchen with dining table. I work as a Speech and Language therapist in the community and occasionally work from home, usually towards the end of my working day. If you WFH we can work something out with sharing space.

Small yard out the back for bike storage, small table and chairs for enjoying the (rare) sunshine! LGBTQI+ friendly, single occupancy only (but I don't mind your friends/partner(s) staying a couple of nights a week). Don't mind smokers, but outside only please!

Good location, near Moor Park and about a ten minute walk from UCLan, 20 minutes from the train and bus stations. Supermarkets within walking distance. On-street parking.

About me: 36, working full time, (mostly) vegan, would prefer to live with another vegan or vegetarian so we can cook together, but I don't mind you eating meat as long as the blood doesn't drip down onto my veg in the fridge. Basically wrap your meat up (good life advice in general, I reckon).

I like going for hikes, cycling, yoga, eating and drinking out, dancing, cooking, the usual stuff. I have friends and family in Sheffield, Manchester and Nottingham, so am sometimes away at the weekends. Would prefer a housemate who is sociable and doesn't just stay in their room all the time, and who doesn't mind me having friends over. My partner often stays over a couple of nights a week so you would need to be ok with that! I have lived in share houses for about 15 years of my life, so I'm pretty easy to live with. I need you to not be too messy and to not have wild parties.

I have a pet tortoise, open to other pets, but not cats, they can climb up and get Alan in his tank! If you're willing to feed Alan while I'm away at the weekends, that is an added bonus.
