Our homeowners are offering to share their home for a very affordable price in return for chats and assistance with some household tasks such as cooking, shopping and day trips outside the home.

The current homeowners are a father and son. The son looks after his father, but also works office hours so is looking for another pair of hands to help out. He is looking for a homesharer to help motivate his aging father to go out of the house on his mobility scooter, assist him to make a healthy lunch and help with cooking in the evening. The family employs a cleaner. Homesharers do not support with personal care needs. Should this become a future need, a referral for services will be made to social care.

This opportunity would suit a mature (not necessarily older) female with experience of working with older adults. You are expected to do approximately 10 hours a week of companionship for your accommodation.

The accommodation is a 1970's style home in Birstall. Accommodation comprises of a private bedroom. Other accommodation is shared with the homeowner and his son. You will share the kitchen, lounge, dining area, conservatory bathroom and garage. There are gardens front and back of the home and on the road parking for the homesharer.

All bills are included in the weekly fee.

Homeshare Leicestershire manage this Homeshare placement on behalf of the homeowner and will require all applicants to complete a DBS check, references and undertake safeguarding training before the homeshare commences and will remain in contact regularly during the placement to ensure you and the homeowner have a positive experience throughout.
