This Homeshare offers you affordable accommodation in a safe and friendly home, in exchange for supporting the homeowner with 10 hours per week of companionship and support with household tasks.
The Homeowner
Our homeowner has lived in the local area most of his life. He has family that support him regularly and neighbours that look out for him too. However he is looking for a homesharer to help him with some household chores like cooking and shopping and remain overnight in the property as a sense of security.
He loves gardening and likes a big chat. It would also be nice to share experiences outside the home too like going out for day trips or even holidays!
His Ideal Homesharer
Our homeowner is looking for a mature person to live with. Someone who will come home and share stories about their day and also share his interest of gardening.
The Property and Room
The property is a house with a front and back garden. It comprises of a shared Lounge, shared Kitchen, shared bathroom and the homeowner and homesharer's bedrooms.
The homesharer's bedroom is fully furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, and a table.
The property is located in Braunstone Town, a well established neighbourhood in walking distance to shops and cafes. There is a nearby bus route which takes you into the city centre and Fosse Park shopping Centre is only a 20 minute walk. It is also very accessible to the M1 motorway.
The Homeshare Agreement
As part of this low cost living arrangement you would give just 10 hours of your time each week in lieu of rent. On an average week, you’ll spend the 10 hours shopping together, going to cafe's and visiting places outside the home. Our homeowner is proud of her clean and tidy home and would also like support with maintaining this level of cleanliness. The Householder is independent so no personal care is expected to be undertaken by the homesharer.
This is a position advertised on behalf of the Householder. Homeshare Leicestershire carry out reference checks on both parties and an enhanced DBS check on homesharer's prior to introducing you to each other. We have various policies in place to allow shares to take place and the safety of both parties is our primary priority.
Homesharers pay no utility bills except for a contribution to council tax should the homesharer not be exempt from charges.
