Small ground floor self contained ensuite flat in former Victorian Railway Station ( Grade 2 listed).King sized pine bed, very small kitchen area, ensuite toilet and shower, and own front door. Off street parking available for careful motorists. Strictly non smoking ( smoking only permitted in the garden, by the river). Rural location ( we have no neighbours) but be aware that the trains still run on the track outside the property. Garden includes river frontage with canoes which you would be welcome to use. We live in the other end of the same building, but do not share your entrance so you are self contained. The flat has large windows on both the South and the North sides. Close to a decent bus route for Melton Mowbray, Syston and Leicester. This property would suit a professional person or a young couple.
The house was built in 1846 and has been insulated 20 years ago. It has electric heating. Hot water and the lighting is provided at no extra charge. However the electricity for the plugs is on a 50p meter, which helps us pay the electricity bill. There is a BT phone line in to the flat, which is currently disconnected, but you would be welcome to get this reconnected at your own cost.
