Hi there!

I'm a software engineer in my thirties with lots of experience hosting lodgers. I'm renting out a room in my home in leafy Knighton - Leicester's historic village area

The house has been recently renovated including the kitchen and garden. The kitchen is large and well-appointed with modern appliances and plenty of storage for your own items. The garden features a large pond, a fig tree, and a pergola seating area shaded by grapevines. You're also welcome to use the living room on the first floor, which has a 75-inch TV and surround sound system, perfect for movie nights.

I am happy to offer a choice between two fantastic rooms:

The Top Floor Room (£695 pcm): A spacious and private room on the second floor, comfortably furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, shelving, and a wardrobe. The key benefit of this room is exclusive access to the large, full family-sized bathroom.

The Principal Bedroom (£795 pcm): This is a premium option featuring a brand new, beautifully renovated ensuite with a shower. The room is fully furnished to the same high standard and comes with a king size bed.

In addition, there are two parking spaces on the drive and free on-street parking is available right outside the house.

The location of my house is ideal, being very close to Leicester city centre with many links to local transport nearby, including Leicester Train Station which offers quick and direct links to London St Pancras.

Knighton itself is a lovely, safe, and welcoming area with its own array of local parks, independent shops, and delis which can be mostly found around nearby Allandale Road and Queens Road.

My ideal lodger will be a professional or PhD student who is respectful and considerate.
