Large Double Room to Rent - 10 mins walk from city

Hi! I'm James, a 42-year-old single gay man looking to rent out one of my spare rooms. I'm initially looking for a 6 month arrangement, with the option to extend if we're both happy.

The room comes with a comfortable double bed, a shelving unit, and a clothes rail. You'll have access to the rest of the house, including a cosy living room, a dining room with a six-seater table, and fibre broadband. I've recently renovated the bathroom and am planning to replace the kitchen in late November, so the house will be getting an even bigger refresh soon.

I also have a friendly 7-year-old dog called Nelson, so you'll definitely need to be a dog lover! There will be times when you're home with him on your own, and he'll almost certainly want to come and sit with you for a fuss.

The house is around a 10–15 minute walk to Leicester city centre and De Montfort University, and about 25 minutes walk to Leicester Royal Infirmary, the rugby ground and the football stadium.

I'm looking for someone who's clean, tidy and considerate, with a stable job or who is studying full-time. I'd love to find someone who'll treat the house like a home and enjoy living in a relaxed, respectful environment.

I'm pretty easy-going and enjoy having friends over occasionally for dinner, drinks or a catch-up, but it's rarely a late night or a big party. I'd be looking for someone with a similar outlook who appreciates a calm home and is respectful of each other's space and routines.

LGBTQ+ applicants are especially welcome, but the most important thing is finding someone who's a good fit for the house.

I’m open to a lower rent for someone who only needs the room Monday–Friday.
