Description

Hi there!

We are a couple and looking for a considerate and sensible lodger for our comfy, newly-decorated spare room.

We live in a Victorian villa on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance of the city centre. We are looking for a lodger who is clean and will respect our home.

The room is nice and light, with white walls. There is a high quality double bed frame, for a good night's sleep. The room is furnished with an original Victorian fitted wardrobe, a second wardrobe and a bedside table. There is a practical roller blind over the sash window, which keeps the light out well. The view from the room is onto the back garden, which comprises a patio and flower beds sloping upwards to mature trees.

We are very attached to our house and it's important to us that our lodger keeps their room and the shared spaces clean and tidies up after themselves. We will do most of the regular cleaning but we need our lodger to be a clean and tidy person too. We would also want any visitors to the house to be careful and respectful of our home.

We try to minimise energy use, so we put on a jumper in the first instance when it gets cold. We do use the heating but we don't have it on all day as we are out at work in the daytime on weekdays. We also recycle and compost wherever possible.

Our family and friends visit the house quite often, so we're looking for a lodger who would be happy to share the common areas when we have guests round. We would be happy for you to invite your friends to the house sometimes. There is a dining room and also a dining table in the kitchen.

It would be good to live with someone who we can have interesting conversations with, about shared interests and new things you introduce us to! We have an international outlook and love learning about other cultures.

The house has a well-kept garden with seating and is a very pleasant place to sit and relax. There is a table and chairs for eating outdoors.

The house is less than a 30-minute walk from the city centre.
Also within walking distance are a Tesco Express (3 mins), the larger Tesco on Braunstone Gate (8 mins), a European supermarket (4 mins), a pharmacy (4 mins), a health centre (4 mins), parks, Narborough Road (8 mins), De Montfort University and the Leicester Royal Infirmary. There is on-street parking.

The neighbours are very nice and friendly and it is a lovely road to live on with a real sense of community.
