Description
1800s Cottage in Woodhouse Eaves – Single/Small Double Room for Rent with Double Bed Ideally Mon-Friday.
A charming mix of old and new, this cosy cottage is located in the sought-after village of Woodhouse Eaves, surrounded by stunning countryside, a stone throw from Beacon Hill, Bradgate Park, the Outwoods, reservoirs and more.
About the Room:
• Single for more floor space or double bed with less floor space- Currently Comes with large chest of drawers, a double divan bed drawers and clothes rail.
• Ideal for someone who values a nice location, village life & doesn’t come with tons of stuff!
Shared Spaces:
• Spacious bathroom with a bath & a stand-up shower cubicle, has a separate shared WC in room next to the bathroom.
• Fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, gas cooker, microwave.
• Shared desk and printer setup in the kitchen. to be arranged for use.
• Lounge available within reason.
• Cottage gardens with a seating area.
Additional Details:
• Outside WC (needs some sprucing up first). Plus Bonus - small outdoor storage room. As the bedroom is relatively small this may be handy for stacking sealed boxed items, a bicycle etc
• Bus routes a stone throw away to Loughborough and Leicester. Lots of off road parking!! Plenty in fact.
• Surrounded by beautiful country walks (Beacon Hill, Outwoods, Bradgate Park, and more) and great local pubs for food and drinks.
About Me & What I’m Looking For:
• I work from home full-time so I’d prefer someone office based or at least hybrid working from home, NOT full time at home, you’ll also be a person that has a life outside of the home, some evenings out, what’s most important for me is that I have some days/evenings to myself.
• Preference is for a Monday-Friday let only. Must be working professionals.
However, at a push I’ll consider 7 day weeks for someone with an active routine and regular commitments in the evenings/weekends at an extra cost. But not someone who’s permanently around (as awful as that may sound, I have to have my space).
• Honesty, respect, and trustworthiness are essential. Party animals, drug users need not apply! I want a safe happy home.
• Avid gardeners very welcome and tidy housemates (OCD cleaners also very welcome!)😄
Rent & Conditions:
• The rent reflects the premium location and includes, internet, gas/electric bills.
• Proof of ID (driving licence and passport) and employment verification required.
Final Notes:
Believe it or not, I’m a friendly, empathetic, emotionally intelligent and down-to-earth person looking for a like-minded housemate who values mutual respect—for each other in the home. I just stress that I need personal space. (I think that’s clear 😂)
With respect. as you may have gathered from the advert, I’m not one for living in each other’s pockets or dining together etc —nothing too formal or fussy. I prefer to keep things simple and do our own thing with passing pleasantries.
A happy home, for me, is all about balance and mutual understanding. I appreciate it when housemates enjoy spending time in their own rooms relaxing, watching TV, or doing their own thing. That said, it’s not about feeling like you’re confined to your room—it’s just about maintaining that balance.
At the moment, I’m a bit of a hermit (blame the colder weather!), but I do enjoy heading to local pubs occasionally to catch up with friends. I’m a happy soul when the chemistry in the home flows well and we are on the same page 😊🙌
Best regards,
D
