Large Double Rooms on Jellicoe Avenue

This is a speculative ad for vacancies that will potentially come available in January 2026.

I’ve got 3 rooms going in a house on Jellicoe Avenue just off Monks Road. All rooms will go for £385. All bills are included in the rate: council tax, water, internet, gas, electric.

Rooms are going cheap as they aren’t pretty. But, the tradeoff is that you would have permission to be able to modify the room to your liking. Want to drill into the walls and put up a bicycle hook? Cool. Paint the ceiling pink? Cool. Add cabinets. Take cabinets away. All your call. You’d just have to do it in conversation with me so I know you’re not going to hurt yourself, or do permanent damage to the property.

The aim is to create a pretty relaxed place to live with people from different social groups. So, nice parties in the summer. A general friendly feel to the place. You will have to interview, and meet the other potential people.

I'm planning to host an open house / meet and greet toward December so you can check out the house, each other, and meet me. Lots of ways to go about this.

Message me on spareroom for more info, and I will send you a questionnaire. All applicants will be considered. Being a Spareroom Early Bird will not give a competitive edge as there are many adds where it 'does' give an edge, and many cannot afford the fee.

Folks on Universal Credit will be considered.
