Description
Big Double room in SE London flat (Abbey Wood end of the Elizabeth line).
The room is spacious, bright and clean. There is a shared bathroom, kitchen, and lounge along with a balcony. The vibe in the house and surrounding area is super chill and peaceful. As the flat borders ancient woodland, with heathland parks and more woods on the other side. This location is perfect if you love nature, are trying to live the slow life, have mentally checked out of the burning wreck that is late stage capitalism but have to keep in one foot in still, i. e. commute to central London. (It's 5 min away from the lizzie line/thameslink and SouthEastern. The Lizzie line has contracted time and space, so you can be in Whitechapel in 15, Tottenham Court Road in 25, and Paddington in 30min). Most importantly it only takes a minute to walk to Pine Pond, and you can walk to the station via the woodland if you choose to which is magic.
The area has a community vibe around the woodland from yoga, tai chi, pilates at the lodge and a the forest club running activities like willow weaving or woodwork, and a local produce market. There's a strong artsy leaning with a few local art studios in the vicinity so there's always fun workshops/events, i've done dyeing, mosaics, line drawing, gouache painting, recycled bag making, weaving, sculpting, stitching, just this year.
I (37, she/they work in podcasting) live here with (27, she/they, works in community/forest club) hang out by going to some of the events above, walk in the woods, and have chinwags in the kitchen, as well as our own personal space/downtime. The home is queer friendly, and besides it unfortunately being located on the first floor, disability accommodating too. We're both veggie and trying to be environmentally friendly. The tenancy would especially suit those interested in centring their health/have allergies, as bits around the flat tend to be natural from cleaning supplies to mattresses being eco materials, uncluttered rooms with wooden flooring and the walls painted in non toxic bio resin (I went in) . We're looking for someone friendly, chill, considerate and clean. If that sounds like you drop me a line.
Please note femme's preferred and no couples.
