Hey! My name is Madeline, I'm 22 and originally from San Francisco, California, USA. I moved to London four years ago for university and graduated last July. I'm currently working hospitality, but am on the hunt for another role!
My current two flatmates are leaving the tenancy; I have another female flatmate, Adelaide (English, 23 years, also working hospitality) who will be taking the other smaller double room for the 26/27 tenancy. We are still looking for someone to take the large ensuite room.
Adelaide and I are searching for a flatmate that is more than just a flatmate: we want another friendly face in the flat! Our hobbies include cooking, hosting gatherings, watching films, and going out for a cheeky pint, among other things. We are ideally looking for another girl around our age who is responsible, tidy, and shares similar interests.
The flat itself is absolutely lovely and conveniently located less than a 10 minute walk from Aldgate East Station, 12-ish minutes to Aldgate Station, 15-ish minutes to Liverpool Street, and 10 minutes to Shadwell DLR/Overground Station. There is a Sainsbury's, multiple pubs, restaurants, pharmacy, green spaces, and a gym all within a 5 minute walk. Most tenants in the building are in their 20s-30s and are students or professionals, and there is a shared building group chat. The agency also provides maintenance services in the event an appliance or something else breaks/malfunctions.
The flat is equipped with a new washing machine and dishwasher, as well as modern kitchen appliances (electric stove, oven, refrigerator and freezer, lots of storage, microwave, Kettle, toaster, etc.), heating, clothes drying rack, and has a beautiful Juliet Balcony that looks out onto the street. We have a big brown leather sofa, as well as two smaller black sofas and a coffee table. We have a coat rack at the front of the flat and a little table to store keys/belongings/shoes.
The ensuite bedroom that is up for grabs is equipped with a double bed, five drawers, a wardrobe, a bathroom with toilet, sink, storage, and shower. This room will be going for ~£1300/month (including water, but excluding all other bills/council tax). Start date is 15 August 2026. The council tax band is E.
