Description
We’ve got one large room available mid October in a spacious converted wool factory located in Aldgate East with excellent transport connections;
Aldgate East - 7 mins*
Tower Hill - 10 mins*
Shadwell - 10 min*
Whitechapel - 15 mins*
Liverpool Street - 20 mins*
*walk (Half of that if you’re gay).
We’re looking to find a like-minded professional who is clean, considerate and up for a fun community vibe. We have created a home not just a house and we all enjoy living together as mates. We often have flat dinners, friends over, and occasional themed house parties, but we’re also respectful of each other’s personal space. We have a cleaning rota, and do our best to be climate conscious, we’d very much like someone who would fit the same vibe. Due to space with 2 people already working from home we are prioritising people who work outside the flat and would not have the capacity to have a full time remote worker in the flat.
Non-Negotiable:
- No Vaping/smoking
- Vegan/Vegetarian
- Queer
- Participation in weekly cleaning rota
- No space for bikes, in communal area will need to be in your room
- Max 3.5 days for partners/guests staying over per week
- Monthly flat meetings
- No shoes indoors
- Neurospicy friendly

🏡The Flat
The flat is on the first floor of a renovated 1800s wool factory, with 24hr security and two lifts.
It’s a very spacious flat, comprising of; a shared living/kitchen space, a bathroom and 4 bedrooms (one with an ensuite). The flat has a lot of character, with hardwood floors, exposed brick and huge windows.
The living room has a large comfy sofa, TV with SKY Q (and many other subscriptions which we share), Playstation and DVD player..
The kitchen is complete with all white goods including a dishwasher and washing machine. This also includes crockery, pots, pans that we have put to share.
All the furnishings in the flat have been contributed to by us so we are looking for someone who is considerate and respectful of things as they were their own.
🛏️ The Room:
The large double room is furnished with a bed & mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. While the room does not have windows, it still receives a good amount light through the ceiling-length double doors with frosted windows. It is very spacious and you can easily fit in a desk if needed. The room and flat really needs to be seen to do it justice.
💸 Financials:
Rent: £912.50 (Large Double Room)
Deposit: £980.76
Projected bills: £120-140 (roughly £160 in winter)
Communal Items: Roughly £15 which cover communal house supplies like toilet roll etc.
Our council tax band is F.
When you join we will have one month left on our tenancy and we wouldd be looking renew again. You will need to complete referencing with the landlord to join the tenancy.
You’ll be living with three others:
🦋 Zoe, British 28-year-old, working full-time hybrid in tech. I enjoy nature (plants especially🪴) up-cycling furniture, anything fairy core, nights out, festivals, cooking, films and board games. She/Her.
🎭 Kenneth, 28, British (He/Him), Medical Writer. Enjoys, karaoke, musicals, winter, chilli oil and cats.
🪩 Becca, 27, Malaysian (she/her), Secondary Art School Teacher. Hello! I enjoy drawing, painting, going to gigs, eating the same food everyday lol (peanut butter), frolicking in the park, badminton and board games (bananagrams!)
We know there is a lot of information to process but we just want prioritise a harmonious house and making sure everything is transparent from the beginning. We view the rules/dynamics as a collaborative effort.
We are looking to start viewings in the next couple weeks so please message us if you think you'd be a good fit or if you have any questions 🌼
