Double Room for Rent - Aldgate East/Brick Lane

A bright and spacious double room is available in a friendly three-bedroom flat in East London, ideally located between Whitechapel and Aldgate (professionals only)

The room comes with a double bed and has plenty of space for a desk, shelving and additional storage. It also has its own private balcony, meaning it gets loads of natural light throughout the day.

You’d be sharing with Sylvain (30, French), who works in finance, and Alex (27, Belarusian), who works in marketing. They’re both friends of mine and are looking for someone clean, friendly and sociable to join the flat. The atmosphere is relaxed and social – we enjoy hanging out together, having a drink or cooking in the flat – but everyone is equally comfortable doing their own thing and respectful of each other’s privacy and quiet time. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with a similar balance.

The flat itself has a shared bathroom and a large open lounge and kitchen area, with plenty of communal space. There is also a large balcony at the front of the property with fantastic views across the City of London skyline, which is great for drinks, dinner or simply sitting outside when the weather is good.

The location is one of the biggest advantages. Whitechapel, Aldgate East and Aldgate stations are all within easy walking distance, with Liverpool Street around 10 minutes away, giving you excellent connections across London.

There’s also loads to do nearby, with some of East London’s best restaurants, pubs, cafés, markets, cinemas, shops and cultural spots all within walking distance. Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Shoreditch and the City are all close by.

Overall, it’s a great flat for a young professional looking for a comfortable, well-connected home with sociable flatmates, while still having plenty of personal space.
