Description
Hey :)
We have a room available from end of December/ beginning of January in our gorgeous top floor, 3 bedroom flat in East London.
It's a top floor flat, and the building is an old pub, and overlooks a secondary school, meaning there are kilometres of open space infront, great views of London and also the area is very safe due to being entirely residential, with families in most houses.
The kitchen and living room is open plan and me (29, F) and my flatmate (45, non binary) have spent the past 4 years making it into a home. All of the lighbulbs are smart bulbs, big TV, DJ decks to mix music, and super big, super comfortable sofa. There's an island separating the kitchen, and a large cooking area. We've recently bought super cosy thick carpets too for the area.
We have a very big balcony, with thick astroturf and 2 planter boxes growing lavender and flowers. You're welcome to plant more if you wish :)
The flat is stunning and it’s so rare to find something like this in London.
The room is on the smaller side, but fits a double bed, desk, and a small wardrobe. The long corridor leading to the room holds a full size double set chest of drawers for your clothes/ whatever else and there is a further metre and a half of space in the corridor to put another cabinet or whatever else you choose. This corridor is not shown in the photos.
It's a 5 minute walk from Langdon Park DLR Station and you can be in Stratforf/ Canary Wharf in 20 mins, and Central London in 40 mins.
Bit about us:
I’m:
29 year old trans woman
Work in the music industry doing Marketing and Artist Management and I DJ from time to time.
I work from home most days, and occasionally go into the office. On weekends in the Winter I work in a music venue and in the Summer I work at various festivals across Europe.
Flatmate:
(she/her) late 30s, Music Producer & DJ
This is a queer household. We identify as queer and whilst you don’t need to be queer to apply, you certainly have to be an ally :)
During the weekends we do like to have friends over occasionally, having drinks and in the Summer, BBQs. We like meeting new people and you would be very welcome to invite your friends if you so wish.
During the week we’re very chill, most nights just watching a movie or playing on the PlayStation or sunbathing. Occasionally we’ll have someone over for dinner.
We’re looking for a chill professional, ideally in the music/ events/ creative industries or someone that shares a love of dance music - whatever the genre. Please tell us your tastes of music when you apply :)
We both work late nights on the weekend and come back from work late, so this room is not suitable for someone who needs to wake up extremely early.
We are looking for someone sociable yet respectful, that we can trust and who’s looking for a home, to make lasting friendships with. We are quite tidy people but are certainly not militant on things to be perfect and wouldn’t expect you to be either - this is our home, not a showroom :)
Someone up for letting us into your life as we will to you. We care a lot about this home and we are looking for someone to be part of its next chapter.
Bills are not included and come to around £80 a month, depending on the time of the year. This includes, Electricity, Water, Council Tax and Internet.
We will require one month of rent as a deposit upfront and then the rent.
Thanks <3
