Description
*** Update - Bedroom 1 has been let. I will remove the photos/videos for it to prevent confusion.
Hello! I am looking for two people to complete our lovely flat for the next year, as my previous two great flatmates are moving abroad for different jobs/school. The new flatmates would be preferably female, and could be either a student or professional. I would like a potential flatmate to complement the calm, relaxing atmosphere at home. :-)
I’ll cut to the chase - Bills (not included in listed rent price) approx £164/month -> would be 17 (water) + 10 (wifi) + approx. 50 (energy- variable cost) + 87 (council tax-ugh). Rent is subject to approx 5% increase if landlord inflates the price at all in May. Salary minimum is 38k if you don't have a UK guarantor. If you are below 38k/are an intl. student, landlord requires 6 months rent paid in advance.
Now, a little bit about myself- I am an American professional working as a research analyst (I WFH 2 days a week from flat). I first came to the flat in 2023 and finished my Master's at LSE here. I love the flat (and area) so much I haven’t left since. I really enjoy cooking, discussing politics (unfortunately because my work haha), travel, music, and watching comedy films. I am easy going, clean, and sometimes like my alone time-although I am always up for a chat and have become quite close friends with previous Spareroom flatmates. I would appreciate someone with a similar mindset :-)
About the flat - The flat has really nice modern furnishings and design and was built only 5 years ago.
The kitchen is spacious, coming with an island table, a larger fridge and freezer. The kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher, oven, stove top + we have a washer/dryer and heated drying rack. There’s a large dining room table to entertain guests.
The living room is furnished with a couch, coffee table, bookshelf, chairs, extra storage.
We also have a nice WFH area with a large desk and monitor that is available for use while balancing the needs of all flatmates.
We also have access to a lovely courtyard garden area below with tables and benches to sit at and enjoy the London sun when we can.
Bedroom 1 *** Has now been let! - 1250 per month. The potential flatmate would share one bathroom (pictured) with one other flatmate.
Bedroom 2 - Still available! 1275 per month. This room has in-closet storage (with hanging storage), one window, and a dresser. The room gets nice morning light, and is relative quieter since it faces the garden side of the flat - hence the price bump. There is room for a small desk.
As of now, I plan to move to the ensuite room where I would pay more at 1375 per month. If you feel strongly about being in the ensuite, feel free to make an offer and I could consider it!
About the area - I have really enjoyed living here for almost three years now and hope to continue! The area is quite enjoyable. Only 10 minutes from Camden passage area with shops and a weekend market. Big grocery shops (Waitrose, sainsburys, Tesco, m&s, I could continue…) only 10 minutes away as well. The area is really nice and only a 5-minute walk from Angel station (northern line) and has many bus connections just a 2-minute walk away.
The flat would be ideal for any student at City College (given it is right down the street), LSE (where I went and my previous flatmates have gone), UCL, King's, etc. I am also very welcome to professionals! I am working currently - so you wouldn't be alone there :-).
If you are interested please reach out and introduce yourself + let me know how many days (if at all) you would be working from home and we can chat about any questions you may have.
**** I have viewings available from 6:30pm onwards Thursday and Friday this week (Apr 24 + 25). Please message with your availability.
