Short term (flexible) double bedroom

We are looking to rent our guest bedroom on a short let starting 30th July. We are flexible on time and happy to offer 4-6 weeks sublet.

A four storey Victorian house, tucked right into the heart of Angel. The room is furnished and ready to move into, with beautiful original wooden floorboards underfoot, high ceilings and the kind of character you only get in an old house like this. They’re light, calm and easy to make your own.

The whole place is properly set up for everyday life and comes fully furnished throughout. There’s a big shared bathroom with a good shower, plus a separate toilet, so the morning rush never really becomes a thing. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’d want for cooking properly, dishwasher included, and there’s a comfortable lounge to sink into at the end of the day. The garden is the real heart of the house though: a proper sun trap in summer with a BBQ and a fire pit for long evenings outside, and a heat lamp so it stays usable well into the colder months too. It’s the sort of space that’s brilliant for a slow weekend morning with coffee or having a few people round.

You’d be living with Abdul (32, an architect) and Derrek (30, a fashion photographer) and Emily (30, a botanist) We’re friendly, easygoing and we tend to share meals, the odd evening in the garden and a generally relaxed approach to the place. What matters most to us is finding people who’ll treat the house like a real home, look after it, and want to be part of the family we’ve got going here.

Rent and bills
£1700 a month, with bills and shared household costs on top. That covers gas and electricity, water, council tax, wifi, and a cleaner who comes twice a month to keep the shared spaces in good shape. We also keep the house stocked with the everyday basics like kitchen roll, toilet roll, bin liners, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning supplies.

Location
You’re right in the middle of everything good about this part of London. It’s a 7 minute walk to Angel station, 5 minutes to Camden Passage with all its antiques and cafes, and around 15 minutes over to Old Street. Jolene and Pophams are close by for excellent bread and brunch, Duke Organic is just around the corner, and the canal is a short stroll away for walks and weekend wandering.
