Description
Looking for a housemate to join our fun and friendly new home based next to the Emirates stadium.
We have just signed a new tenancy at this large (and quirky) 5 bed house 5 mins walk to Arsenal station. We currently live together in Finsbury park and will be moving out at the beginning of December as our landlord has finally decided to sell up.
The house in Drayton Park has only just been put on the rental market, and the landlord is currently in the process of clearing and cleaning and getting the house up to HMO standard.
About us...
We're 3 girls, 1 guy between 25-35, we have lived together for the past year, some of us knew each other before and some have got to know each other since living together. We are a pretty sociable house and spend time together when were all in, we go for a Guinness (other drinks are available) sometimes and there are lots of local pubs with a good pint / showing sport / good pub quizzes. Sometimes we have meals together, go to events etc. In terms of hobbies & interests we enjoy a mix of running, cycling, events, music... of course we also respect personal space and people do spend time on their own too.. All of us also have our own lives and have separate friendship groups, do our own thing etc, but live as a group of friends rather than separate households.
House & Location...
The house is starting out as a bit of a work in progress, we are looking forward to doing it up and making it a home, so anyone willing to contribute to this kind of thing would be a bonus! It does mean that the photos are more to show the space rather than the final product of your future home! (carpets have to stay..). There's a shared living room, kitchen and garden, one bathroom and an extra toilet. Its rented through the same agency we're currently with so we know that they are reasonable.
In terms of transport - Arsenal is a 3 min walk, Finsbury Park 12 minute walk, Highbury & Islington 20 min walk, and Drayton Park (gets you direct to Old St & Moorgate) 4 min walk. Lots of local busses too.
Clissold park and Highbury fields are both within 10-15 mins, and theres lots of local coffee shops round Blackstock Road, Holloway, and Stoke Newington is 10 mins on a bike / 30 min walk. Theres a Lidl & little Tescos at Finsbury Park station, and an Aldi, Waitrose, and Morrisons on Holloway Road.
You...
We're ideally looking for a guy to keep the balance, and we're hoping to find someone who is sociable and wants to get involved with the group, helps with cleaning & general running of the house, might suit someone low-ish maintenance as the house isn't perfect - although it does have double glazing and functioning amenities.
Logistics...
We are unsure whether viewings will be in the house or elsewhere until we have access, but can discuss this more when we know. Move in date is for 9th December. Bills in our current 5 bed come to £110 a month and we're expecting similar, however the new place is better insulated so might be closer to £100, deposit is 5 weeks rent.
If it sounds like you would enjoy living here send us a bit about yourself and what you're interested in and we'll try to arrange viewings soon!
