Description
Hey! I have a double room available on a quiet residential street in Balham as I’m moving out at the end of September. You’ll be living with 3 lovely housemates who all get on really well.
The house is in an amazing location just off Balham High Road. 2 minutes walk from Co-op, bars, restaurants and nice brunch spots. 5 minutes walk from Balham Tube/Station, Sainsburys and Aldi and 5 minutes walk to Wandsworth Common.
The room is a spacious double room at the back of the house with high ceiling, an extra large built-in wardrobe, double bed with built-in storage underneath and chest of drawers. The two white shelving units and mirror pictured will be coming with me, but there’s plenty of room for your own similar furniture.
You’d be sharing the houses main bathroom with 1 other female housemate (the other 2 housemates have ensuites) and there is an additional bedroom next door which is currently being used as a study to work from home.
There’s a large living room with TV and two sofas which joins onto an additional room which we currently just use as an extra living space with a treadmill etc. The kitchen is also very large with a 6 seater dining table, huge oven, American style fridge etc. Off the kitchen is a separate utility room with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and there’s also a conservatory space which currently has a sofa in (not pictured) which is a great area to socialise in whilst cooking. There’s a garden with outdoor seating and the road has on street parking if you need it (although you’d have to apply to the council for a permit)
The vibe in the house is very laid back, clean and tidy. We sometimes socialise in the shared living room / large kitchen but also respect each other’s space. You’ll be sharing with the current housemates Steve, Zoe and Holly who are all 24-26 year old working professionals. We met through Spareroom and have become good friends since living here. I’ve loved living here and I’m sad to be leaving but I’m moving in with my partner nearby.
We pay Steve every month for the bills and it ranges between £60-£100 extra per month depending on the time of year. This includes water, gas, electricity, council tax and high speed internet.
There could be some flexibility in the move in date as I move into my new place at the end of September, so last week of September or first week of October could work.
If this sounds good and you think you’d be a good fit then feel free to reach out and we can arrange a viewing / more info.
Cheers,
Rob ☺️
