Double available start of July in Balham

A Double room is becoming available in our lovely Balham houseshare at the end of June/start July.

Current housemates Kelly (41) and Henry (32) have both been in the property over 4 years and one of the tenants leaving has been here for a decade - it really is a great place to live! Our new housemate Rocio (Spanish, works locally in Balham) will be moving in at the start of July, the same time this room becomes available.

The spacious 3-storey house is located in a gated code secured cul-de-sac just off Balham High Road and is a 5 minute walk from Balham station which has an Overground station , as well as the Northern line.

We are also perfectly situated between both Tooting and Wandsworth Common, both a 10 minute walk away for when you want that bit of green space in the city! There is a Sainsburys, Aldi, Waitrose and 24-hour Tesco all within a 10 minute walk, along with all of the great bars/cafes/ restaurants that Balham has to offer.

This small double room comes furnished with bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers and has full length windows with a Juliette balcony. Whilst this room would not be suitable for someone requiring lots of storage space; there is under stair storage that will be emptied and can be yours, the room also comes with inbuilt bookshelves, drawers and storage.

The downstairs has an open-plan living/dining/kitchen room which is really spacious and has lots of storage, together with a downstairs toilet and private paved garden area which is a morning suntrap, and perfect for the odd summer barbecue! The room available is on the first floor, along with the main bathroom that will be shared with Henry and Rocio (Kelly has an en-suite) and one other room. They keep it very tidy and clean as they go.

Bills are not included in the prices but are split equally and usually work out around £90-100 total per person pcm.

A little bit about us: Henry works in Recruitment and loves the outdoors, hiking/running and travelling, whilst Kelly works in Finance (& occasionally the Performing Arts) and enjoys dance, yoga and also has the travel bug! We are both pretty chilled and easy-going (this isn’t a typical party household, but we’re not opposed to having mates over for drinks every now and then) and whilst we have our own schedules and interests, we often catch up downstairs whilst preparing dinner etc. and are looking forward to finding another new housemate to join us! New housemate Rocio will be moving in at the same time this room is becoming available.

The new contract begins from 3 July but the room could be available from 29 June (when the current tenants move out). Incoming tenants will need to provide our Property Manager with ID and a deposit of 1 month’s rent, references may also be required.
