We have a double room available in our Balham house share!
You will be sharing with 2 guys and 3 girls, all professionals between the ages of 30-32. Our place is a large, fully furnished house over three floors (plus a basement for storage).
We are only an 8-minute walk from Balham underground and over ground stations and close to bus routes - so really well connected! There is a co-op just around the corner as well as an Aldi, Sainsburys and Waitrose all within an 8-10-minute walk. Balham is a great area to live - it has numerous shops, cafes, bars and pubs. Tooting Common is also only a 5 minute walk away and Balham Leisure Centre is just at the end of our road.
Please note - the room is only available for around 6 months (with potential for it to be a bit longer) at which point our landlady will no longer be renting out the house.
THE HOUSE: There is a spacious sunny garden with firepit, BBQ, chairs/table and a bar area.
There is a large open plan living/kitchen area. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need: 2 fridge-freezers, a double oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a breakfast bar, dining table and lounge area, so space for everyone to catch up after work. The lounge area has a comfy corner sofa and TV with 2TB SkyQ, we also have the top BT package with Wifi extenders throughout the house.
There is a modern washing machine and tumble dryer separate to the kitchen.
There are also 4 bathrooms. The room available shares a bathrooms with 2 other people.
The entrance hallway is wide, so bikes can be stored there. You can apply to Wandsworth Council for a resident car parking permit for a small annual fee.
THE BEDROOM: The room available is a middle floor, double room. It is fully furnished with a double bed and mattress, wardrobe, large chest of drawers and bed side table. The bathroom has a bath/shower, toilet and sink.
We are looking for a professional male housemate, ideally aged 27 and above, who is clean, tidy and sociable. We are all busy with work and our own lives, but get on well as a house and like to catch up of an evening and go out together when we can.
The house is managed directly by our helpful and responsive live-out landlady, so no estate agents to deal with and no additional agency fees. We are in direct contact with our landlady, who is quick to sort out any issues. We pay most bills (fortnightly cleaner, BT Wifi, Sky, council tax, gas and electric) monthly and water quarterly. We will be happy to provide you with the breakdown for bills during viewings, but being split 6 ways it works out quite economical.
The rate of the room is £799 per month excluding bills. It’s available from 21st December with the possibility of some flexibility around the move in date.
