I’m moving out to start a new chapter, so we’re looking for someone to take over my room in our lovely 6-bedroom house in Balham, less than a 5-minute walk from Tooting Bec station.

The house is really spacious, with 6 bedrooms plus a spare room, 2 bathrooms and an additional downstairs cloakroom, a massive kitchen and communal living space, and a huge attic spanning roughly the footprint of the house, so there’s plenty of storage.

📍 Location

The location is one of the best things about the house. Tooting Bec Underground station is under 5 minutes away, and both Balham High Road and Tooting High Street are around a 10-minute walk, so there are loads of pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops nearby.

There’s also a great gym just 3 minutes down the road, and Balham station is close by for both National Rail and Northern line connections.

The room comes furnished with:
• Bed
• Wardrobe
• Chest of drawers

The additional chest of drawers and desk shown in the room are mine, so I’ll be taking those with me when I move out.

🏠 The house

It’s a genuinely spacious house with loads of shared space, so despite there being six bedrooms it never feels cramped. The large kitchen/communal area is great for cooking, hanging out and having people over, and the spare room and huge attic give us plenty of extra space and storage.

You’ll be living with a friendly group of two guys and three girls (plus you!), all working professionals in our 20s. We’re a sociable and easy-going house who enjoy spending time together, whether that’s a chilled movie night, catching up in the kitchen after work, heading to the pub, or just relaxing together in the evenings. Everyone has their own lives and schedules too, so there’s a nice balance between being a social house and having your own space. We’re looking for someone with a similar vibe who’s keen to make the house feel like a home rather than just somewhere to sleep!

💰 Costs

Rent: £1,100 pcm
Bills: £106 per month
Deposit: £1465

👋 Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a working professional aged around 23–30 who is clean, considerate and sociable. Ideally, we’d love someone who’s happy to get involved and have a chat/drink with the house rather than someone looking for a completely separate living arrangement, while still respecting everyone’s own space and schedules.
