Description
We are seeking a fourth flatmate for our home in one of the Barbican towers.
The available room is the largest in the flat, mostly unfurnished, and has direct balcony access (looking northeast) and an immense wardrobe. There are two bathrooms in the flat so you’ll share with only one other person; yours has a full bathtub.
Living in the Barbican is obviously a little unique as an experience – facilities include a 24-hour doorman and porter service (packages are brought up – you won't lose one ever again!) and rubbish and recycling are picked up from our door 6 days a week. We also have a cleaner who comes every other week. The flat has a washing machine but no dryer or dishwasher. Bike storage is available in the garage and you’ll have access to the private residents’ gardens.
The Barbican’s cinema, gallery, martini bar, etc. are on your doorstep. It’s also easy to get everywhere from here – lots of transit connections, with Moorgate, Barbican, and Farringdon stations all less than 10 minutes away.
We are a curator, architect, and writer/editor in our early 30s. One of us works partly from home and this is, of course, totally fine; there’s also a library close by. We are friends and enjoy sharing an overlap of circles and interests, but are also respectful of each other’s privacy and schedules. You are a working professional or postgraduate student in your late 20s or 30s.
The room is available from the beginning of January, though we can be flexible and begin slightly earlier if needed – you’d also be very welcome to start moving things in from late December.
Monthly bills, including council tax, internet, cleaner, electricity, and water, come to £145. A deposit is required.
