Description

We have a brilliant living experience, on a boat which is split into four separate flats.

Flats 1/2/3

- Wonderful modern living... afloat
- Reliable and fast access into the City
- Friendly, creative, professional community
- Surrounding wildlife inc. swans, coots, ducks
- Staying warm and cozy by the wood burners in winter or..
- BBQ's and swinging in the hammocks on the deck in the summer?

A unique living experience has recently become available on a fantastic 137 ft Oil tanker/barge boat moored on the River Roding in a remote area of Barking.

This is not a rickety old narrow boat that freezes internally during the cold months, this is apartment life.... on the water. All flats offer a large contemporary, open plan kitchen and living room, fitted with oak flooring and worksurfaces, furnished with all the mod cons you'd expect to continue to deliver the wow factor. And then there's the important stuff: cozy central heating, wood burning stoves, mains connected electricity/water/sewage and plenty of hot water on demand.

This vessel is steeped in local history and was converted in 2009 into a wonderful living space consisting of 15 bedrooms split between 4 flats, all finished off by a local interior designer. The large bedroom's follow this trend with mezzanine style double beds, en suite shower/toilet/wet room, very interesting design layouts, plenty of wardrobe space and a desk area.

Moored a 10 minute walk from Barking under/overground, it is excellently positioned for public transport access to the City (District line) and offers the most reliable rail service in the country (c2c) getting you into Fenchurch St in 14 mins. 4 mins walk to a 24hr Tesco. Driver? 3 mins from the A406/A13 junction, 15 mins to the M25. Parking available.

All bill are inclusive, even electricity, internet and wood for the stoves. The boat has a small maintenance team on call when required and it even comes with it's own caretaker to keep the outside area clean, tidy and welcoming.

New to London? Well... it can be a daunting place at the best of times so come and view the boat and the community that surrounds it. If you're creative, musical, artistic or just have a need for something that little bit different from the norm, you'll find it and it's current young-professional residents very welcoming, many of whom have returned to the boat time and time again.

Flat 4

Provides the boat with that WOW, factor this section of the boat, is the least renovated section and provides that old fashion boat experience, it has the biggest living and kitchen area, large dinning table, and a projector screen for those Movies nights.

Our aim is to create a close community of interesting, social characters that like to leave City life behind when they return "home". If you believe you can help towards this, we would love to hear from you.
