We’re looking for someone new to join our lovely house-share in Barnsbury, Islington from late July 2023 (exact date negotiable).

If the below sounds good, we’d love to hear from you! Tell us a bit about yourself (what you look for in a house share, what you do for a living, what you like to do for fun etc.) and we can start from there.

Your Room

Your room would be a double bedroom on the ground floor. It has plenty of space for a double bed, storage and a desk and chair if you are working from home. It’s a bright room with high ceilings.

The House & Location

Our house is a delightful Victorian town house spread over three floors, and includes five double-bedrooms, two bathrooms (both with WCs), a separate WC, living room, kitchen and a back garden. The kitchen comes with all modern appliances: dishwasher; fridge-freezer; washer-dryer; electric oven; and gas hob. The living room includes a dining table, big comfy sofas, and TV which are great for chilling out after a long day!

Barnsbury is a great area - very quiet and green, with several excellent local gastro pubs around the corner. If you want something more lively, Upper Street with all it’s amazing bars and restaurants is only a few minutes walk away. Travel-wise we’re extremely well connected . Angel, Highbury & Islington and Caledonian Road & Barnsbury Stations are all less than 10 mins walk away. There are also several major bus routes running along Upper Street.

A bit about us

We’re a mixed group (2 boys, 2 girls - one of the boys is leaving) of busy young professionals in our 20s and early 30s. We're all friendly, sociable and easy-going. We enjoy hanging out from time to time, but also have our own lives. We are open to people from any background.

Our ideal housemate

Ideally we’re looking for someone who will slot in nicely with the rest of us. So you will probably be pretty similar in terms of age, lifestyle and attitude - someone fairly relaxed, yet responsible (and able to clean up after themselves in the kitchen!).

Rent, Deposit & Bills

The rent is £770 per month, not including bills.

The deposit is £714.

Bills are roughly £98 per month. This includes council tax, utilities, fast fibre-optic broadband and a fortnightly cleaner.

Letting arrangements

We rent through a private landlord (with whom we’ve had a good relationship over many years) so there are no agencies involved, which makes things nice and simple.

Moving dates

Available from late July 2023 - but dates negotiable.
