I have a double bedroom to rent in my 2 bed / 1 bath maisonette near Highbury & Islington station.
It’s a tale as old as time - bought the place with my ex-boyfriend a couple of years ago, and managed to hang on to it when we split (18 months ago, I’ve had therapy, we’re all good). Looking for a roommate to help me stay here (it’s such a fantastic place) and also because having a spare room is ridiculous in this economy!
I like being at home, but also work pretty long hours and travel fairly regularly for a job that I love and am very passionate about (behavioural scientist). I’m a big fan of dinner parties, murder mysteries, park run on Saturdays, and sitting in the sun with an iced coffee. I’m fairly sociable, but looking for a housemate that understands our home is a bit of a retreat after a long day, and I’m not the most chatty in the evenings when I’m drained from networking etc etc.
The room has an amazing amount of light and loads of storage. Since it’s my place, I’m happy for you to make it your own and decorate if you want. The shared downstairs space is more than big enough for us to either hang out, or have our own space. And I have a home gym in the garage that you’d be welcome to use!
Bills aren’t included but are usually around £125 a month (each)
