Description
Hey there,
Looking to find two new housemates to move into this beautiful flat in Battersea! My two friends have bought houses and so are moving into their new places and so I am hoping to replace them with like-minded people.
About the flat:
• Beautiful open plan kitchen/living/dining area, with private balcony
• Both rooms are spacious, with great lighting, with plenty of room for additional furniture.
• Large bathroom with shower over bath, and additional toilet adjacent
• Private rooftop garden available to all tenants with decking, plants and seating areas
• Parking space available
• Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Location & Transport:
• 10 mins walk from Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Town stations (if you are a fast walker like me)
• Located next to Battersea Reach apartments, a 2-minute walk away from the river.
• Excellent bus routes from bus stops almost directly outside the flat:
o 44/N44 to Victoria - Tooting/Aldwych - Sutton (N44), C3 to Clapham Junction - Earls Court, 295 to Clapham Junction - Ladbroke Grove via Fulham & Hammersmith
• Santander Bike Hub opposite road, and often loads of Lime bikes kicking around nearby.
Amenities:
• Co-Op directly below the flat, Tesco Express about 10 mins walk away, Big ASDA and Lidl located by Clapham Junction station.
• Gym/coffee shop directly below.
• Doctors’ surgery, pharmacist and dentist located at the end of the road.
• Nail salon, corner shop, and a few takeaways located just on the main road, McDonald’s is a 10-minute walk away.
• Restaurant and bar within Battersea Reach complex, under 5 minutes’ walk away.
Bills – these are rough estimates, what with energy prices fluctuating a lot currently, and all bills are split equally amongst us:
• Council tax (Band F - Wandsworth): ~£110 per month, 10-month instalment plan
• Electricity: £60-80 per month (£20-25 per person)
• WiFi: £45 per month (but would be open to finding a cheaper deal) (£15 per person)
• Water: ~£40 per month (Paid every 6 months as a large instalment) (£~15 per person)
About me:
I am a 31-year-old man from Reading originally, who moved into the flat last year and absolutely fell in love with the place. I am a very sociable guy with a busy social life but enjoy having a more sedentary lifestyle Monday-Thursday, usually spending weekday evenings at home watching TV and cooking a nice dinner. I am a really passionate cook and am equally passionate about cleaning up after myself – I hate to go to bed with a dirty kitchen!
I would like my housemates to feel like friends rather than strangers, where we feel comfortable to hang out together, but are also respectful of each others personal requirements for quiet times – I will occasionally just keep myself to myself of an evening. I love going out, hitting up bars and clubs, live music, comedy, pub quizzes, wine nights and obviously our lord and saviour, Taylor Swift (90% of the time I am playing music, it is Taylor).
I am a gay man so its important to live with someone accepting of that – or LGBTQ+ themselves!
About you:
Ideally you would be in your mid 20s-30s, with a professional job with reasonable working hours, similar interests and passions, clean, tidy, organised, responsible, friendly, easy-going, laid-back & with a positive mental attitude to life.
The moving in date is quite flexible but hopefully would be around mid-October - happy to discuss further during viewings.
Please do get in touch if you think you would be a great match for the flat. I look forward to hearing from you!
