Bright, sunny double room available in my five bedroom Victorian terraced house in Battersea (SW11) available from beginning of January 2025.
The tastefully decorated room is quiet, peaceful and situated on the second floor at the back of the house, and faces west so gets lots of sun in the afternoon and evening. It comes fully furnished with a King-sized bed, chest of drawers and bedside table as well as a fitted wardrobe with plenty of hanging and folding space, plus a small desk and chair, as well as a comfy armchair.
The adjoining bathroom has a roll top bath, sink and loo.
There is the shared use of a lovely large, well-equipped kitchen/dining room plus a patio garden which is a real sun trap. There is also a small sitting room/TV room on the first floor you are welcome to use.
We are very well situated, being a couple of minutes walk from Northcote Road which offers a great range of independent and high street shops, bars and restaurants. The number 319 bus will whisk you up to the Kings Road and Sloane square in 20 minutes, while Clapham South is the nearest tube station three quarters of a mile away on the Northern line. If you need a train, Wandsworth Common station is less than ten minutes stroll across the common, while Clapham junction is a mile away.
I'm a freelance journalist, working from home, and currently share the space with my two 20-something sons, one of whom is moving out early next year I also have a low maintenance, affectionate, elderly cat who sleeps most of the day and prowls the neighbourhood at night.
I have had several lodgers over the past few years and it has always worked out well. I am pretty easy going and relaxed, though not keen on smoking indoors or people who can't clear up after themselves!
I would consider a short term or longer rental. Rent includes all bills and broadband, plus household essentials such as washing powder/cleaning products/loo paper. .
